Professor Royer has 15 years’ experience in the Criminal Justice System.  He was employed by 2 of the nation’s 4 largest juvenile justice state correctional agencies; Texas and New York.  Additionally, he worked for 2 private correctional and treatment facilities in Indiana.  Professor Royer held many different positions, eventually becoming a facility Director and Superintendent.

Professor Royer also has many years’ experience in Criminology and Criminal Justice teaching positions.  He has been an Adjunct, Instructor, Lecturer and Department Chair in the states of Indiana and Texas.

Professor Royer has a favorite breed of dog, the Boxer.  He is an avid professional and college sports fan.  His favorite NBA team is the San Antonio Spurs.  NFL teams are the Colts and Bills. He is looking forward to attending QU sporting events to support his student-athletes.  He is a frequent attendee of rock and alternative music concerts and has seen many popular bands across the nation.
