Barbara Kuchar Walsh ’91

kuchar-walsh-photoCongratulations go to Barbara Kuchar Walsh ’91 and her family for being selected as the winners of the Adoptive Families Magazine 2016 Family Cover Contest. Here is what Barbara had to say about the photo:

“Back in October, I had submitted a couple photos of the kids by Kara Kamienski Photography to ADOPTIVE Families Magazine for the 2016 Family Cover Contest. With more than a 1,000 entries…guess what? Ours was selected as the winner!  This photo captures the spirit of my two children. My daughter, who would never admit she secretly does care and look out for her brother. The little brother, who looks up to his sister for advice and guidance but likes to tease and joke around. This was our first family photo shoot following an EF4 tornado. My husband rebuilt our home, but we had lost all of our pictures and were trying to get back to normal. Kara did a great job at the park in our neighborhood, capturing the glances and smiles we hadn’t seen on our children’s faces for a long time.”

Joseph Hammer ’66 and Ann Mahoney ’66

img_1474-1Ann Mahoney contacted our Alumni Services office to find out more about the upcoming Homecoming and if certain people would be attending.  She asked about Joe Hammer, someone she used to date while going to Quincy College.  We told her that Joe was also thinking about coming down, but we had not received anything from him.  Ann asked if she could contact Joe and reminisce about old times.  Ann had never married and Joe was single. Long story short, instead of coming to Homecoming this year, Ann and Joe decided to have their own Homecoming in their neck of the woods (the drive was much closer).  We hope they keep us posted on their re-connection.
