In commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Quincy University’s Office of Multicultural Programs is hosting a week-long series of programs dedicated to the memory and message of Dr. King.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Week kicks off on January 18 with the fourth annual MLK Day of Service during which students, staff, and faculty will turn their “day off” into a “day on” by serving local community organizations.

Additional events throughout the week include a campus screening of the 2001 film Boycott as well as a presentation entitled “Next Generation of Civil Rights Leaders”. The week culminates with a celebration in MacHugh Theatre on Friday evening.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. led a fervent campaign for civil rights for all people based on a philosophy of love, peace, and non-violent action. A full schedule of events is below…
