Philanthropies:    The Alpha Omicron Pi Foundation awards research grants annually for the study of arthritis, juvenile arthritis and related diseases. The Foundation also funds educational and leadership training programs for the Fraternity membership. Through its Ruby Fund, the Foundation provides financial aid to members in great need. The Diamond Jubilee Foundation awards undergraduate and graduate study scholarships. Collegiate and alumnae chapters support activities of their local and national Arthritis Foundations, Canadian Arthritis and Rheumatism Society. Chapters also participate in a variety of local charitable projects to support the Juvenile Arthritis Foundation.

Sisterhood:    AOΠ has sisterhood retreats once a semester. The women host a male pageant called Mr. GQ, a Rock-a-thon, and Strike-Out for arthritis.  AOΠ sisters enjoy a formal dance each year, monthly socials, and educational sessions to help them become more well-rounded members.

Alpha Omicron Pi’s greatest strength is our members and their determination. Since 1897, over 110,000 college women have found fun, friendship, and leadership opportunity in the sisterhood of AOΠ. Our Fraternity was founded in friendship. We excel by not only bonding with our sisters, but taking offices and building leadership roles.

Membership in Alpha Omicron Pi represents a feeling of belonging to a group of women who accept you for whom you are and encourage you to develop into who you want to become. In AOΠ, you can find a place where you feel at home. You can count on your sisters in good times and in bad, strive for your goals as a chapter, and draw sisters together in one strong bond. Through it all, you will make friendships that will last a lifetime.

Alpha Omicron Pi has over a century of fun and friendship behind us. AOΠ is unique. We are a diversity of personalities and interests that combine to form a strong bond dedicated to friendship, academic, social interaction, leadership and community service. But most of all, AOΠ is fun, caring, and devoted group of sisters that will stand by you for life.
