Mission Trips

Mission Trips give students the opportunity to live out the Gospel call to be people of service. We help those less fortunate than ourselves, and learn about places and social structures that create poverty and injustice.

Haiti Connection

Since 2003, Campus Ministry has sponsored students and staff on mission trips to Haiti in conjunction with the University's Haiti Connection program. Haiti Connection seeks to:

  • To develop lasting relationships with communities in Haiti
  • To educate the QU Campus and the Quincy community about the Haitian people, their country, culture, living conditions, and their daily needs
  • To provide education and awareness about impoverished communities around the world
  • To engage in fundraising to support ongoing projects in Haitian communities

Haiti Connection invites students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of Quincy University interested in outreach to Haiti to join in our efforts. The group meets on Monday evenings at 9:30 at the Campus Ministry House. For more information or ways to support Haiti Connection, please email quhaiticonnection@gmail.com.

NOTE: Fees are charged to defray costs for Mission Trips. The opportunity to participate is available to all students, faculty, and staff regardless of religious background. Scholarships are available upon request. Please contact Fr. Ferd Cheri III OFM at (217) 228-5432 ext. 3617 or This email address is being protected from spambots.
