Campus Ministry Mission Statement

Quincy University Campus Ministry, with the Catholic-Christian and Franciscan traditions as our guides, seeks to reach out to all community members, wherever they may be in their journey of faith. Accompanying our community on this journey, we seek to facilitate encounters between God and ourselves through the offering of hospitality, prayer, worship, rituals, programs, events, service and mission. We promote a Christ-Centered community where all are welcome, and where everyone’s physical, intellectual, and spiritual gifts are valued.

Who may participate?

Any member of the QU community whether they be faculty, staff, or students. We welcome all to be part of Campus Ministry activities regardless of faith background, religion, or denomination. Campus Ministry is for everyone.

Locations

Campus Ministry Office is located in Francis Hall (main academic building) across from the front desk and the Campus Ministry House is located directly on Main Campus at 823 N. 20th St.

Peace Prayer of St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace; where there is hatred, let me sow love; when there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. Grant that I may not so much seek as to be consoled as to console; to be understood, as to understand, to be loved as to love; for it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
