Assistant Professor of Business
Quincy University, a Catholic liberal arts university in the Franciscan tradition, invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Business position, starting August 16, 2014. 

Responsibilities:
The primary teaching area is in the field of marketing or management at both the undergraduate and graduate level.  Service to our university, your profession, and the community is expected.  Academic advising and committee service are expected after the first year.

Minimum qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Marketing or Management.

Preferred qualifications:
Professional work experience; at least two years of demonstrated success in college-level teaching; health care administration background is desirable.

Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice
Quincy University, a Catholic liberal arts university in the Franciscan tradition, seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice position, beginning August 16, 2014. Teaching responsibilities will be four undergraduate courses per semester.   Academic advising and university service are expected.

Responsibilities:
We are seeking candidates with an emphasis in Criminal Justice theory, who can teach courses such as Criminology, Crime and Corrections, Juvenile Justice, Criminal Behavior, Crime Analysis and Criminological Research, as well as Statistics and Research Methodology, and other courses in their area of expertise.   The small size of the department presents the successful candidate with the opportunity to create his/her own specialized courses and to help form the future of the Criminal Justice curriculum.   

Preferred Qualifications:
A doctorate in Criminal Justice and college-level teaching experience.

Assistant or Associate Professor of Mathematics
Quincy University, a Catholic liberal arts university in the Franciscan tradition, seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Mathematics position, beginning August 16, 2014.   Teaching responsibilities will be four undergraduate courses per semester for both majors and non-majors.  Courses may include College Algebra, Mathematical Logic, Numerical Analysis, Number Theory, and Abstract Algebra.   Academic advising and university service are expected.

Preferred qualifications:
Ph.D. in Mathematics or related field; college-level teaching experience; experience with the reform movement in mathematics.   Senior-level candidates should be familiar with assessment and curriculum development.  We encourage applicants who have a commitment to the liberal arts tradition, an enthusiasm for teaching undergraduates, and an interest in fostering undergraduate research.

Visiting Assistant Professor of Communications
Quincy University, a Franciscan Catholic liberal arts university of 1,200 students, invites applications and nominations for a one year visiting Assistant Professor of Communications. Non-tenure track position. Candidates should be prepared to teach a variety of courses in communication at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including courses in electronic and business communication, advanced technical writing, public relations, and other courses dependent on background.

Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate in mass communication or closely related field preferred (ABD and significant experience considered). We are seeking candidates with a strong commitment to a liberal arts education in a small college setting with demonstrated excellence in teaching and commitment to service and scholarship. Position begins on August 14th, 2014. Screening of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Teaching responsibilities will be four undergraduate courses per semester, which typically include courses in the first-year composition and second-year general education program as well as upper-division courses.

Qualifications:
Terminal degree in English or related field; college-level teaching experience; American literature generalist.  The successful candidate will be an energetic teacher, an active scholar and a dependable colleague who will participate enthusiastically in an ambitious schedule of undergraduate programs and activities, including a reading and lecture series, a literary journal and various student activities.
