The Quincy University Chamber Ensembles under the direction of assistant professors of music, Dr. Christine Damm and Amy Stollberg, recently traveled to area high schools including Sacred Heart Griffin, New Berlin, Southeastern, and Astoria.  The ensembles performed an eclectic variety of music ranging from classical pieces, traditional Irish tunes, and pop favorites.

“The Quincy University music students did an amazing job of performing and representing the university.  The high schools students were so excited to watch a top- notch performance.  It’s wonderful to connect with high school band and choir directors and to give the talented QU students a chance to perform in front of large scale audiences,” said Damm.

The Quincy University Music Program has five chamber ensembles including:  No Strings Attached Saxophone Quartet, Reed Between the Lines Clarinet Quartet, 18th Street Trio (mixed wind instruments), Chamber Choir, and Vocalocity (a jazz choir).
