Bill began his coaching career at Quincy University with the men's program in 1997 before moving away from Quincy to pursue a career as a full time tennis teaching professional. Bill served as Manager and Head Tennis Professional at North River Shores Tennis Club in Stuart, Florida from 1997-98 before settling in Fort Smith, Arkansas. In Fort Smith, Bill served as Assistant Tennis Professional at Hardscrabble Country Club and Head Tennis Professional at St. Edwards Mercy Fitness Center from 1998-2000. In August 2000, Bill returned to Quincy University as Head Coach for both the men's and women's tennis programs.
Bill is a certified USPTA P-1 tennis instructor and brings with him over 20 years of tennis teaching and coaching experience. Prior to taking over the Hawks program in 1997, Bill was Head Boy's and Girl's Tennis Coach at Quincy Notre Dame High School in Quincy from 1991-97.
Bill also serves as the Chief of Campus Police at John Wood Community College in Quincy and continues to teach tennis privately to select players.
Bill's tennis playing experience includes four years of NCAA Division I competition for Western Illinois University from 1984-87, where he was Academic All-American in 1986 and currently holds six statistical records. Bill has recorded numerous tournament titles, including a record twelve Quincy City Tournament Singles Championships.
