About the Driscoll Window

info_driscollwindowThe Driscoll Window, which is located near the main entrance to Quincy University's St. Francis Solanus Chapel, was chosen as a visual representation for the strategic plan.

Msgr. Michael Owen Driscoll, a church pastor in Jacksonville, Ill., originally commissioned the window for a new church but later donated it to Quincy College around 1980 following a change of selection. Renovations to Francis Hall in the early 1990s resulted in the window's current placement.

The Driscoll Window features St. Francis of Assisi as its main focus and references historical Franciscan followers. Like the Driscoll Window, at the center of each five major goals outlined in the strategic lies the mission of Quincy University and its Catholic Franciscan heritage.
