Counseling Professor Published

Ken Oliver, PhDQuincy University assistant professor and counseling program director Ken Oliver, PhD, recently published an article in the summer 2012 edition of the ALGBTIC News, the official newsletter of the Association for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered Issues in Counseling, a division of the American Counseling Association. The article, "My Journey as an LGBT Ally," discusses Dr. Oliver's own development as an advocate on behalf of LGBT issues both in the counseling profession and the world alike. Oliver explains, from an existential-humanistic perspective, the process of joining clients on their journeys toward self-discovery and the social-justice underpinnings of such revelations.
