Jean Greenlaw Children's Literature Conference at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. Lovell shared strategies for educators and parents to address sensitive language and content in a safe environment where critical thinking counters prejudice, bias and ignorance. She also emphasized the importance of vicarious experiences available to students through great literature which helps them understand a complex world.
