Men's Awareness Week

The Office of Multicultural and Leadership Programs will host its first ever Men's Awareness Week. Activities kick off February 6th and continue through February 12th at Quincy University. The program will touch on topics such as spirituality, professional development, and relationships.

The Men's Awareness Week Kick-Off Luncheon will be held Monday, February 6 at 11:30 a.m. in the Hall of Fame Room. Asst. Pastor Tim Southers will be the luncheon keynote. This event is free and open to the public. The week will end with a 3-on-3 basketball tournament at the HFC on Friday, February 10 at 5:00 p.m. There will also be a service project at the TEEN Reach center on Saturday, February 11 from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Men's Awareness Week will highlight several speakers who dedicate their time to reaching out to the young men on campus. Speakers include Asst. Pastor Tim Southers, Young Adult Pastor at Cathedral of Worship (Quincy, IL); Vince Guider, Author & Life Coach; Jonathan Beatty, Sr. Financial Analyst – North America COVERGIRL; Marlon Favorite, NFL Player and Ed Stewart, Associate Commissioner for the Big 12 Conference.

The planning committee consists of Fritz Lauriston, Ola Osundairo, Erik Wilson, Antonio Land and Todd "TJ" Jordan.
