Critical Issues of Race
Quincy University’s Town & Gown series continues on Thursday, Feb. 2, at 7 p.m. in the MacHugh Theatre. QU associate professor of counseling Dr. Ken Oliver presents “Critical Issues of Race in Higher Education.”
Dr. Oliver will host a regional panel that will debate the issues they deem most critical regarding race in academia, identify barriers to success, and propose solutions to remedy the racial achievement gap in higher education.
The Town and Gown series is co-sponsored by the Quincy University English Club, Sigma Tau Delta, and the English faculty. It is open to the public and free of charge. For more information, contact the Quincy University office of public relations at 217-228-5275.
