Bettasso Added as Positions Coach

Joe BettassoQuincy University has announced Joseph Bettasso as the new football defensive positions coach. Bettasso comes to QU with two years head coaching experience at McPherson College in Kansas.

Under Bettasso's leadership, the team won its first conference championship since 1952. The team was ranked 6th in a national ranking with a 10-1 record. Bettasso was also voted the 2010 AFCA Region 4 Coach of the Year. Prior to being head coach, Bettasso was McPherson's defensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator. Bettasso was responsible for planning and calling the defense and for overseeing the team's recruitment plan. "Joe is going to be a tremendous asset to our football program. The experience he has as a Head Football Coach allows me to lean on his past experiences' said QU head coach Tom Pajic.

Bettasso received a B.A in general studies from University of Missouri Southern State University in 2006. He is a member of the American Football Coaches Association.
