QUINCY, Ill. – The Mart Heinen Club is hosting its 35th Annual Golf Tournament Monday, May 12 at Quincy’s Westview Golf Course. Proceeds from the event will benefit Quincy University athletic programs as well as the Mart Heinen Club Scholarship.
The tournament will be a scramble format and teams will be flighted into two groups once rounds are complete. Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. prior to the 12:30 p.m. shotgun tee-off. Beginning at noon, participants may partake in “Chipping with Carp”—a chipping challenge against men’s soccer coach Mike Carpenter for which prizes will be awarded.
Additional challenges and opportunities include “Putting with the President” (against QU President Robert Gervasi), “Golfing with Garber” (against women’s basketball coach Jeni Garber), “Mulligans with Musso” (with women’s soccer coach Dave Musso), and “Home Runs with Rabe” (with baseball coach Josh Rabe). Participants will also have the chance to win a car on one of the challenges.
Entry fee is $150 per person ($600 per foursome) and includes golf, cart, lunch, refreshments on the course, and gifts/prizes for all golfers.
