The 25th annual Quincy University, Mart Heinen Athletic Booster Club chili cook-off will be held Sunday, January 19, at the Quincy University Health and Fitness Center’s Hall of Fame Annex (20th and Oak). The event is open to the public from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and features all you can eat chili and soup tasting. There is an entry fee of $3; in addition raffle tickets are available for $5 each, three for $10, or seven for $20.
The entry fee to compete in the Chili Cook-Off has been waived. Set-up time begins at 9:45 A.M. The first place winner will be awarded $200, with $150 going to second place and $100 for third. Other prizes include $50 for best booth theme, first place in the soup category, and a people’s choice award.
