QU Mourns Passing of Bill O’Donnell, Alumni Director

odonnell-billBill O'DonnellThe entire Quincy University community is saddened by the loss of William (Bill) O'Donnell. The 1973 graduate had served as director of Alumni Services since 2008 and was previously a member of the university's board of trustees. In 2003 Bill and his wife Maureen were selected as co-alumnus of the year. The 61-year-old O'Donnell passed away in Chicago after a battle with cancer.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation at St. Barnabas Church, 10134 S. Longwood Dr., Chicago, IL, on Sunday, February 3, from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. A funeral Mass will be held at the church on Monday, February 4, at 10:00 A.M. Internment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in Bill's memory can be made to the Quincy University Chapel Preservation Project, to the St. Barnabas Parish, or to the Franciscan Charities.
