QU Welcomes New Director of Information Technology

Tony HayesQuincy University has appointed Tony Hayes as the new director of information technology, effective Monday, January 07, 2013. Among his many duties, Hayes will provide strategic leadership, while overseeing the planning, management, implementation and direction of all technology initiatives in support of both academic and administrative operations.

Hayes currently owns and operates Castellian Web Designs. He previously worked at Boston College as manager of operating systems, and later served as a consultant to the school. Before joining Boston College, he was as senior Unix systems administrator for NaviSite, and as manager, Unix support for Engage, Inc., both companies located in Andover, MA.

Hayes received a bachelor's degree in Physics from Southwest Missouri State University. He also holds a master's in Physics from the University of Kentucky and a master's in Astrophysics from Iowa State University.
