QU's Ken Oliver Published

Ken Oliver, PhDQuincy University assistant professor and counseling program director Ken Oliver, PhD, recently published an article in the summer 2012 edition of the "Journal of Counseling in Illinois," the peer-reviewed journal of the Illinois Counseling Association. The article, "Exploring Issues Affecting Professional Identity of Illinois Counselors," outlines several critical barriers preventing effective counseling service delivery in the state of Illinois. The manuscript examines challenges for clinical mental health workers as well as school counseling professionals, along with how both professions interact in the community. The article also outlines proposed remedies which will lead to the establishment of professional identity for counselors in the state.
