Caroline Collins, Phd., recently had several of her works published in two respected literary journals and has a book of poetry forthcoming in 2013. Collins, an assistant professor of English at Quincy University, is an 1986 alum and has served in the English Department for the past five years.
"Arkansas Review: A Journal of Delta Studies" published two of Collins' poems, "The Old Music" and "The Three Kings," along with a review that Collins wrote on a book of poetry by the poet, Heather Ross Miller. The "Arkansas Review" is produced through Arkansas State University and features creative and scholarly works that focus on the Mississippi Delta.
Two more of Collins' poems - "Spring" and "Luna Moth" – recently appeared in "Wisconsin Verse" magazine. The Madison-based publication also published Collin's review of Edwin Romond's book, "Alone with Love Songs."
These published selections of Collins' work are leading up to the publication of her first book of poetry, "Presences," that is scheduled for release in December of 2013 by Parallel Press, an imprint of the University of Wisconsin Libraries.
