General Information
Commencement- Sunday, May 13 at 10:30 a.m. in Pepsi Arena (near the northwest corner of 20th and Oak streets)
- Closed-circuit broadcast of ceremony available in the Health and Fitness Center 3-court area
- Commencement Rehearsal for all seniors is Friday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m. in Pepsi Arena
- Saturday, May 12 at 5:30 p.m. in St. Francis Solanus Chapel (QU main chapel at 1800 College Avenue)
- Friday, May 11 at 2:00 p.m. in Madison Park Christian Church (4700 Broadway, Quincy, IL)
- Each degree candidate will receive 4 tickets for Commencement ceremony during cap and gown pick-up
- If you reserved up to 2 tickets, they will be included with the 4 tickets
- Tickets are not required for Baccalaureate or the closed-circuit broadcast of the Commencement ceremony in the Health and Fitness Center
- Everyone, including infants and toddlers, must have a ticket to gain access into Pepsi Arena for the Commencement ceremony
- Participation in the Commencement ceremony is dependent upon clearance by the University Registrar following a review of your academic record
- Degree candidates with a balance due will not be allowed to participate in Commencement
- All tuition, room, board, fees, interest, library fines, and parking tickets must be paid
- No transcript or diploma will be issued until the balance is paid in full; diplomas will then be mailed to each graduate during the summer
- Beginning at 12:00 pm on Monday, May 7, graduates, faculty, administrators, and coaches may pick up their caps and gowns in the lower level of the Student Center (18th and Lind streets)
- Students who graduated in December or are taking classes in an off-site program may pick up their caps, gowns, and tickets on Saturday, May 12 from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm in the Registrar's Office (room 130 in Francis Hall).

Class Rings

- Friday, May 11 in the Main Dining Room immediately following rehearsal.
- Tickets are availeabe through Alumni Services, ext. 3455.
- The Office of Communications (room B5 in Francis Hall) releases a listing of graduates to the primary media in the surrounding Quincy area
- To have your graduation announcement sent to a hometown/community newspaper, complete the Graduation News Release form
- Announcements can be ordered at the QU Bookstore website.
- Diploma frames may be ordered through the University Bookstore
- A DVD of the Commencement ceremony is available for purchase through the Office of Communications (room B5 in Francis Hall)
- Reserved seating is available for those with disabilities; contact Mary Betts in the Academic Affairs Office at 228-5432, Extension 3300
- Some area hotels extend a special rate for families attending Commencement Weekend. Please make sure to mention QU commencement when reserving rooms
