Quincy University’s Fraternity, Delta Tau Delta – Iota Delta Chapter, has raised a record amount of funds for the chapter’s philanthropy, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). This past fall, Delta Tau Delta (DTD) held its second Fill the Wagon philanthropic event. Members of DTD stood at four-way stops in Quincy to raise donations for JDRF during the semester, raising $8,000 and surpassing last year’s total of $4,500. This donation makes a difference nationwide for JDRF, as well as the local region of JDRF located in St. Louis, MO.

“With all the success we had last year with the event we only expected to go up from the $4,500. I am extremely proud of all my guys in the chapter on making this event a success. Without the generosity of Quincy Medical Group, for donating t-shirts and funds, along with the Quincy community, this would not have been possible. Delta Tau Delta is looking forward to reaching a goal of $10,000 for next year’s annual Fill the Wagon in October 2017,” says Darek Lambert, president of DTD.

If anyone is interested in donating to the cause, DTD is always accepting donations for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. For questions or to donate, contact Darek Lambert at 217-419-3414 or lambeda@quincy.edu.
