Dr. Coffey is an Associate Professor of History specializing in recent American History. He joined the teaching staff at Quincy University in 2007.

Dr. Coffey earned a Doctor of History from University of Illinois, Chicago specializing in United States history since 1877. In addition he holds his Master of Arts in American History since the Civil War from the University of Wyoming, Laramie and a Bachelor of History from Fordham University, Bronx, New York.

In his spare time he lends his support to the community serving as President of the Board of the Historical Society of Quincy/Adams County in 2013-2014 and currently serves as Chair of the Fundraising Committee for the Historical Society. In addition he serves as the local television station’s chief political commentator on election night.  Read more>
