mangioneSince his days working at the QC Bookstore in 1964, Dick Mangione has always had an apt for the business world.  Today, he is the Founder and President Marshall Furniture located in Antioch, Illinois.  Marshall Furniture produces custom furniture designs including desks, lecturns, and presentation furniture.   Mangione started the company in 1986 with only one additional employee and a small, but lucrative, list of clients including UIC, Northwestern University, and the University of Chicago.

After nearly 25 years in the business, Marshall Furniture has increased its staff to 30 employees and their clientele to buyers all over the world through a number of dealer networks.  While their primary focus is still colleges and universities, Marshall Furniture has expanded to cater the needs of large corporations as well as federal government facilities.

In his time away from the office, Mangione enjoys flying, citing it as his only hobby.  For both business and pleasure, Mangione began flying in the 1980’s and in 2009 received his instrument license.  He is currently a proud supporter of the Quincy University Aviation department.  He currently lives in Grayslake, Illinois with Nancy, his wife of 20 years.  He plans to continue working as long as he can, adding “retirement does not sound like fun”.
