Active Learning Opportunities
Practice leads to excellence. That's why learning by doing plays a huge role in the way we teach. Internships put you in the heart of the music and media business—often with a salary as well. Our classes are supported by interactive technology and facilities where you can practice your vocal or instrumental talents, such as the SMART music classroom, the recording studio, performance and practice facilities, teaching piano lab, and MIDI lab with Internet access. The broadcast studios of QUTV and public radio WQUB also attract the talents of music students.
In addition to your participation in Quincy University ensembles, the city of Quincy is an arts hub where you can audition for a spot with a symphony, an opera company, a community theatre, or an area band.
If you're a Music Education major, you will be learning in a local classroom as early as your first education class, with increasing levels of responsibility through graduation
