Quincy
University Archives & Special Collections
Brenner Library is the respository for several achival collections.
As the respository, the library has the responsibility to
preserve, organize, and make available to researchers the
documents in these collections. Since this is an ongoing
process, not all the collections may be available all the
time. Therefore, researchers should contact the archivist
at the Library for further information.
The Quincy University Archives include various documents
and items of interest concerning the activities of the University
since its founding in 1860. Archival items include course
catalogs, presidential reports and letters, student publications
since 1900, sports memorabilia, photographs, video tape recordings,
musical recordings, public relations materials, the official
charter and seal, playbills and other items of interest.
The University archives also houses religious materials as
missals, prayer books, religious art works, and, publications
related to the Franciscan Order and the Sacred Heart Province.
The collection, which continues to grow, measures over 1000
linear feet and is available for viewing by appointment.
