Residence Halls

 

Living in a residence hall provides educational, cultural, social and recreational opportunities. A variety of living options are available: traditional residence halls, suites, apartments, and houses (for seniors). Each residence hall is staffed with a professional Residence Director and student Resident Assistants. The halls are equipped with laundry facilities, free cable television and direct or wireless internet access.

Centennial Residence Hall


A coeducational residence hall, Centennial Hall houses freshman through senior students located at 20th & Chestnut. Centennial offers double and single* (based on deposit date and availability) occupancy rooms. An expansive lounge with a fireplace connects the two wings of this dormitory. Laundry facilities are available to residents on the lower level. Centennial boasts a "backyard" for its residents used for relaxing, barbecues, and recreation. Centennial offers convenient parking directly in front of the building.

Garner Residence Hall


Housing 140 women, freshman through senior, Garner is located at 18th Chestnut, adjacent to Centennial Hall. One of the most popular dorm options for women, Garner offers both double and single* (based on deposit date and availability) as well lower level rooms with a shared kitchen for all residents on that floor. The first level lounge is regularly used for study groups and campus organization meetings. Other study and computer lounges are also enjoyed by Garner residents. Laundry facilities are located in the lower level. Convenient parking is available adjacent to this dorm.

Padua Residence Hall


Located in the heart of campus, adjacent to the student center and cafeteria, Padua is an all male dorm housing 150 students. Double and single* (based on deposit date and availability) rooms are available for residents. A laundry facility is located in the lower level. Residents enjoy a common first-level lounge and study areas on each floor, as well as game rooms on each floor. Convenient parking is available adjacent to the dorm.

Willer Residence Hall


A popular coeducational dorm, Willer primarily houses junior students and is located on 18th and Lind Street. Willer rooms are arranged in suite style, with two bedrooms and a bathroom on each side of the suite joined by a common lounge and study area. Approximately 6-8 students can live in one suite. Residents enjoy a first level lounge and a lower level game room with pool and fooseball tables. Laundry facilities are located on the lower level.

Friars' Hall


Friars' Hall is a coeducational residential option for upperclassmen, offering private, single occupancy rooms. The facility is directly connected to Francis Hall (QU's main administraive and educational building), by an indoor walkway. Offering a commanding view of the QU campus, Friars' Hall rooms are larger than normal singles, offer an individual vanity, and are air cooled. A resident director and resident advisor manage the building. Friars' Hall rooms are offered to students who have earned superior grades, and room selection is made through a lottery system.

Houses and Apartments


Available primarily for seniors, several apartments and houses are located throughout main campus. Apartments offer one to two bedrooms, one bath, a kitchen and living room. Common laundry facilities are available within the apartment complex. Senior house options vary, some have 2 residents, others house approximately 4-8 students.
