Greek Life

Fraternities and sororities enhance the social life and collegiate skills of students by helping them create their own path of enduring ties and leadership opportunities.  Greek life is about getting involved, self-discovery, leadership development, school spirit, and commitment to the community.  Alpha Omicron Pi and Phi Sigma Sigma are the names of the sororities that Quincy University supports.  These sororities partner together to form a Panhellenic Association which helps give direction to the female Greek organizations on campus.  This association has standards and is governed by the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC).  Delta Tau Delta is the name of the male fraternity that Quincy University supports.  Please click on each Greek logo below to find out more about the organization.

Brotherhood & sisterhood:  There is a sense of unity and friendship among members of an individual chapter, as well as among everyone in the same chapter across the nation.  The bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood are forged throughout the member’s active participation in the chapter and last for a lifetime.

Leadership:  Greeks are highly involved in student leadership positions at Quincy University.  Membership in Greek organizations provides excellent opportunities to get involved, assume responsibility and develop leadership skills.

Philanthropy:  Quincy University Greeks contribute many hours each semester to philanthropies and service projects.  The opportunities you will encounter to give of yourself for the sake of helping others are endless.  From kidney foundations to local elementary schools, Quincy University Greeks are actively supporting worthy causes.

Scholarship:  At Quincy University, one of the most important aspects of Greek Life is scholarship.  Good scholarship is a prerequisite to becoming an initiated member of a Greek organization.
