Building Our Presence...Brick-by-Brick

Welcomed by the outstretched arms of St. Francis of Assisi, the University community and its alumni can enjoy an eye-pleasing environment in Friars’ Plaza, the formal entrance to Francis Hall.

Adjacent to Friars’ Plaza on the west side of Francis Hall is a beautiful garden area that is named in honor of Fr. Lucien Trouy, OFM, longtime professor of drama at QU.

The Trouy Garden offers a place to relax, reflect, study, or just enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

The National Alumni Board invites you to participate in the Brick-by-Brick Program. This is an excellent way to show your QU pride and have a permanent place in the history of QU. Bricks may be purchased to honor graduates, parents, memorials for loved ones or a favorite teacher. All bricks will be placed in Friars’ Plaza or Fr. Lucien Trouy’s Garden, according to the donor’s preference.
Your payment of $125 will entitle you to one 4" X 8" inscribed brick. Each brick may be engraved with three lines, 13 characters per line, for a total of 39 characters. Proceeds from the Brick-by-Brick Program will establish the Alumni Legacy Fund. This fund will assist in efforts to promote the Franciscan mission of Quincy University.
