Quincy University's latest television and web commercial was filmed on the campus of Quincy University, using a cast and crew of Quincy University students, professors and alums. "The commercial and web spot is unique because we kept it within the QU Community," says Travis Yates, Coordinator of Public Relations. "We knew we had all the talent we needed right in our own back yard. We had a great time filming and are thankful to everyone involved."
Mike Colombo is a senior Communication major from St. Louis. He is a four year member of the Quincy University men's soccer team, as well as the president of QU's NCAA Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Mike is gaining broadcasting experience with internships at both WQUB radio station and the local NBC affiliate, WGEM television, and hopes to one day be on air as an anchor.

Ben graduated from Quincy University this May with a degree in Communication and Music Production. Using different music looping software including Acid Music and Vegas Video, he composed the background music for this commercial. He's done a lot of work with the QU recording studio and MIDI labs, but never something like this. He is a big fan of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, so revamping and updating the music from the ending sequence was a lot of fun for him. In his four years at Quincy University Ben has served as a Student Ambassador, Vice President for the Student Programming Board, Features Editor for the Falcon newspaper, student senator, Orientation team member, officer for Lambda Pi Eta,summer resident assistant, member of the jazz and pep bands, and the drummer for the EDGE praise band.
Dr. Ed Maniscalco is an Assistant Professor of Theology at Quincy University. His previous acting experience includes performing with the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" as one of the singing trees. He does accept papers one day early.
Extras Coordinator Brittany Vermeire is a Public Relations major from Quincy. She graduated from Quincy Notre Dame High School and attended John Wood Community College for two years, receiving an Associate of Arts degree, before coming to QU.
