Pre-Medicine
Quincy University recommends that pre-medical students complete
a baccalaureate program in either biological sciences or
chemistry. Many medical and dental schools, however, do accept
students majoring in other disciplines who have completed
a pre-professional sequence in science and mathematics.
Students who intend to enter professional schools in preparation for such professions
as veterinary medicine, optometry, podiatry, osteopathy, chiropractic, and physical
therapy, should plan, in consultation with their academic advisors, their pre-professional
programs according to the admission requirements of the approved schools in their
chosen profession.
See Biology or Chemistry for recommended degree requirements.
