Humanities

This four-year degree program is designed to provide interested students with a broader base in the humanities than is usually realized in programs with specified majors.
Program Requirements:
- General requirements for a baccalaureate degree.
- Tools courses: Foreign language (two semesters or equivalency).
- Distributed coursework in at least three fields of the humanities, 200-400 level, including the senior seminar in the first field of concentration:
a) 1st field of concentration 21 hours
b) 2nd field of concentration 18 hours
c) 3rd field of concentration 15 hours
4. Twenty-one hours of electives
The fields of concentration are English, History, Philosophy, and Theology.
The graduate with a Humanities major will have three fields of concentration chosen from English, History, Philosophy and Theology. A graduate with this broad-based background will be a valuable asset to a wide variety of businesses and service providers.
Quincy University's Humanities interdisciplinary majors are prepared for positions in a wide variety of fields: law, investments, journalism, television, business management, writing, public relations, advertising, university teaching and non-profit organizations.
