Program Requirements
Requirements for a Minor in Spanish The minor in Spanish will require 18 semester hours at the 200-400 level, 12 of which must be at the 300-400 level and 12 of which must be taken at QU. Spanish 111 and 112 do NOT count toward the minor. Before graduating with a minor in Spanish, a candidate must demonstrate an “intermediate high” level of fluency in the language and knowledge of the cultures of Latin America and Spain, as determined by an oral and written examination. Travel study in Spain or Latin America is encouraged whenever possible.
