Music Education
The Division of Fine Arts at Quincy University offers programs leading to two undergraduate degrees within the music program: the Bachelor of Arts in Music and the Bachelor of Science in Music Education. Additionally, an interdisciplinary program between the music program and the Division of Business and Computer Science offers a Bachelor of Science in Music with Elective Studies in Business.
The teaching philosophy of the music program is geared to the individual. This approach develops inborn talent to the fullest, while it stresses those qualities needed for success in the field - musicianship, technique, and overall music knowledge.
Admission to the University does not constitute entrance into the music program. All students wishing to major in music must audition before members of the music faculty prior to acceptance as a music major.
