Program Requirements
Social Work
The Social Work program requires eight credit hours of field experience.
Students have participated in field experience in hospitals, social service
agencies, the educational system and the judicial and correctional systems.
Students have also gone on to pursue graduate studies in Social Work
and related fields.
- General university requirements for baccalaureate degree.
- SWK 101, 200, 201, 215, 216, 300, 301, 400, 401, 8 hours
of Field Experience (SWK 480), and 6 hours of electives
in Social Work.
- Required Support Courses: BIO 105; MIS 210; PSY 100,
236, 246, and 340; SOC 100, 230 and 330.
- The Social Work program strongly recommends one year
of the Spanish language.
