Career Fairs
The Career Services Center hosts an annual Career & Internship Fair. This fair brings in employers from the Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri areas. Students are able to bring their resumes and have an on-the-spot interview with many employers in their area of study. This is also a great opportunity for underclassmen to begin the networking process.
Companies interested in attending the Career Fair or wanting to have on-campus interviews should contact Career Services at (217) 228-5330
Internships
It's one of the most common and frustrating career dilemmas college students’ face: “To get a good job after graduation, I need experience. But how do I get experience without having a job in the first place?” One common -- and wise -- solution: An internship, paid or unpaid, part-time or full-time.

The Early Exploratory Internship Program is a unique Quincy University opportunity for students. Through a combination of state grant funds from the Illinois Cooperative Work Study Program of the Board of Education, and the cooperation of the businesses and agencies, students can gain pre-professional experience in fields of interest. The program is designed for first-and second-year students, and like the Clinical Experience in Education, offers students the chance to explore off-campus business and technical options related to their academic fields. The program allows students a maximum of fifteen hours per week paid employment. A Faculty Advisor coordinates the program, which is open to students with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher by application. Students must be Illinois residents to participate.
